Garage Sale Finds
I love going to garage sales and finding beautiful things, I especially like it when I get it so cheap.
I was out early today, probably the last weekend for garage sales because its going to get colder, and wow, I found some really cool stuff.
I found this beautiful chandelier for only $5. I gave the chandelier to my mom to hang in her kitchen over her table and she loves it. You're not going to believe how much I paid for it... $5!!!
This beautiful silver stag sculpture was only $2! I couldn't believe it, I grabbed it
real quick and now it sits on one of my cabinets. I love it!

NEW CONTENT COMING SOON!
Wow, it's been awhile since I posted on this blog. I am finally starting my new thrifty craft home decor channel and I am excited. I have named my blog, YouTube channel and all my social media Thrifty Revamps. I love finding items at garage sales, thrift stores and even outside on the curb, there are a lot of items that still need to be transformed and cleaned and I will be sharing my projects here and on all my social media. Please subscribe and follow. Thank you.
My YouTube channel is not new, I am tranforming my GingerLola doll crafts and shows channel into
Thrifty Revamps. Most of my subscribers on this channel subscribed years ago when my
doll shows were popular. I still create doll crafts and shows on my new family friendly
channel Gingers Doll World. https://www.youtube.com/c/GingersDollWorld
Most of my subscribers are older now so I'm hoping you will enjoy my new content.
Please tell me what you think in the comment section. Because most of my subscribers know
Please tell me what you think in the comment section. Because most of my subscribers know
me as Ginger, my real name is Reg, short for Regina, but you can always call me Ginger :)
For those who know me as Ginger, I am also calling the new channel Gingers Thrifty Revamps.
I hope some of that made sense.

Eiffel Towers for Lola's Bedroom
I finished painting Lola's bedroom and decorated and organized it for her. I love organizing and decorating. We will do a room tour soon. Lola wanted something a little bit french for her room, so I made her these.
I bought this canvas from the dollar store, the size is up to you.
I painted it black, I used a brush, if you don't want to see the brush strokes,
use a roller.
I found a picture of the Eiffel tower through Google,
I found a silhouette, I should have traced it on the page,
but I descided to go freehand. I used gem stickers from
the dollar store, I glued them down with hot glue to
make it more secure. Only after I had it all layed out.
If you don't want to go freehand, just print out the picture from
google and trace it onto the canvas.
I made two for her room because the canvas was small.
Looks pretty cool right?
Tell me what you think.
Thanks for passing by, before you go, please subscribe
or become a friend, better yet, do both :)
Do you have any thrifty revamps you want to share?
Send us your pictures.
Bye for now :)

Another Makeover for the Stairs
So you saw the quick fix on the stairs, I used shelf paper I bought from the dollar store, it was nice but and the quality and selection wasn't that great. After removing the shelf paper, I realized this would have lasted forever, it took so much time to remove it, and its easy to clean. But the new wallpaper was bought and some of the stain from the stairs got onto the paper so we had to remove it.
It wasn't easy to remove this...not bad for only $2 a roll at Dollarama.
The stairs used to have carpet, they were so damaged with lots of holes.
That's why I used the shelf paper to give it a quick fix before the stairs were refinished.
This wallpaper is really good quality, and at $40 a roll it definitely should be.
We needed about 2 rolls... Make sure when you buy your wallpaper
you can flip the pattern sideways, depending on how wide your step is, if you cut it
sideways you can do more steps and without having to match up 2 pieces and
you won't have to use to many rolls.
Don't forget to measure twice so you can only cut once.
Once your wallpaper is all cut, start pasting it to the back of the stairs.
Some paper is self adhesive but this one wasn't I had to buy some wallpaper
paste, I used a brush to apply it and then applied the wallpaper, there is time to
do adjustments before it dries.
I love how the stairs turned out, a lot more interesting than
just painting it white.
What do you think of this look.

Simple Chair Makeover
This chair was on the curb, who would throw away this awesome chair, I grabbed right away...walking quickly as I see other neighbours eyeing the chair waiting to make their approach, my advantage, it was my next door neighbour. I grabbed it quickly, the seat and upholstery was in amazing shape.
All it needed was a coat of paint and voila a beautiful piece of furniture.
I want to see your thrifty revamps...please send your before and after pics.

Cheap Temporary Fix
My mom removed the carpet from the stairs, didn't care what was underneath it all she cared about was ripping it all out...she was getting sick of seeing the same carpet. Well the stairs were not in great shape, and she did not want to redo the stairs now so I offered to do a little makeover so the stairs could be nice enough where whenever she walked up the stairs she wouldn't cringe. I found this great adhesive paper at the dollar store, it only cost $2 a roll and it was easy to apply, no water no mess...just the sticky back.
UPDATE:
My mom has refinished the stairs and all the flooring in the house, she didn't get the back of the stairs finished because she loves how paper looks, so I removed the paper to apply a better quality wallpaper, so check back in a few days for the new pics!
Thank you for visiting, please send us your revamps, we would love to post it here.
